This sticky honey sriracha chicken wing dip is the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, creamy and cheesy, with tender shredded chicken in every bite. It’s an easy, crowd-pleasing appetizer that disappears fast at any party.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works great)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup sriracha sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 green onions, sliced thin
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Shred your chicken if you haven’t done so already. Two cups is about the amount you’ll get from one large rotisserie chicken breast or two medium chicken breasts.
  3. In your mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch dressing. Mix them together until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the honey, sriracha, soy sauce, lime juice, garlic powder, and smoked paprika to the cream cheese mixture. Stir everything together until well combined.
  5. Fold in the shredded chicken until every piece is coated in the sauce.
  6. Pour the mixture into your baking dish and spread it out into an even layer.
  7. Sprinkle the mozzarella and cheddar cheeses evenly over the top.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the dip is bubbly around the edges and the cheese on top is melted and starting to brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes.
  10. Sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds right before serving.

Notes

Don’t skip softening the cream cheese to avoid lumps. Shred chicken while warm for easier mixing. Taste the sauce before adding chicken and adjust sriracha/honey to your preference. Let the dip rest for 5 minutes after baking to set up. For a party, keep warm in a slow cooker on warm setting for up to 2 hours.
