A quick and easy non-alcoholic Halloween punch made with fruit punch, lemon-lime soda, and creamy sherbet. This spooky, crowd-pleasing drink comes together in under 15 minutes and is perfect for Halloween parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (64-ounce) bottle of fruit punch (e.g., Hawaiian Punch)
  • 1 (2-liter) bottle of lemon-lime soda (e.g., Sprite or 7UP)
  • 1 (12-ounce) can of frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
  • 1 (12-ounce) can of frozen pineapple juice concentrate, thawed
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1 (1.75-quart) container of orange sherbet (e.g., Tillamook)
  • 1 (1.75-quart) container of rainbow or berry sherbet
  • 1 cup gummy worms (sour kind recommended)
  • 1/2 cup dry ice (optional, for fog effect)
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries or blackberries
  • 1 large orange, sliced into thin rounds
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Punch Base: In a large pitcher or mixing bowl, combine the fruit punch, lemon-lime soda, thawed orange juice concentrate, thawed pineapple juice concentrate, and cold water. Stir gently with a long spoon until well combined. Avoid stirring too vigorously to preserve carbonation.
  2. Chill the Base (Optional): Refrigerate the punch base for about 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld. If short on time, skip this step.
  3. Prepare Garnishes: Wash and slice the orange into thin rounds. Take frozen berries out of the freezer. Arrange gummy worms in a small bowl. If using dry ice, break it into small chunks using a hammer and towel, handling with tongs (never bare hands).
  4. Assemble the Punch Bowl: Pour the chilled punch base into a large punch bowl or cauldron. Stir gently once more.
  5. Add the Sherbet: Using an ice cream scoop, scoop large balls of orange and rainbow/berry sherbet. Drop them gently into the punch bowl, alternating colors. Do not stir; let the sherbet float and melt naturally.
  6. Add Spooky Garnishes: Float orange slices on top. Sprinkle frozen berries around the bowl. Drape a few gummy worms over the edge. If using dry ice, add it with tongs. Wait until dry ice fully sublimates before serving.
  7. Serve Immediately: Place a ladle in the bowl and let guests serve themselves. Best enjoyed within the first hour while sherbet is creamy and soda is fizzy.

Notes

Let sherbet sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before scooping for best texture. For a dairy-free version, use coconut or oat-based sherbet. To reduce sugar, use diet lemon-lime soda. Dry ice must be handled with care—never touch with bare hands or ingest. The punch base can be made up to 3 days ahead; add soda and sherbet just before serving.
