A quick and healthy Halloween party snack made with fresh fruit skewers arranged to look like candy corn. Perfect for last-minute gatherings, this no-bake recipe is ready in 15 minutes and uses simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large pineapple, peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks
  • 1 small cantaloupe or orange melon, seeded and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled and halved if large
  • 1 cup seedless green grapes, washed and dried
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries, washed and dried
  • 1 large banana, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows (optional)
  • 1 bag candy corn (about 12 ounces)
  • 1 bag candy pumpkins (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
  • Extra candy corn for sprinkling around the tray

Instructions

  1. Soak 20-25 wooden skewers in warm water for at least 10 minutes to prevent splintering.
  2. Wash and cut all fruit: pineapple into 1-inch chunks, cantaloupe into cubes, strawberries halved, banana into 1/2-inch rounds. Toss banana with lemon juice to prevent browning. Pat all fruit dry with paper towels.
  3. Assemble candy corn skewers: thread one piece of pineapple (yellow), then cantaloupe (orange), then strawberry or marshmallow (white/red) to mimic candy corn colors. Repeat until skewer is full, leaving 1 inch at the bottom.
  4. Make fruit-only skewers: thread green grapes, blueberries, banana, strawberry, cantaloupe, and pineapple in a rainbow pattern.
  5. For candy corn accent skewers, thread actual candy corn pieces between fruit pieces on about half the skewers.
  6. Place a small bowl or ramekin in the center of a large white platter and fill with extra candy corn and candy pumpkins.
  7. Arrange skewers around the bowl like spokes on a wheel, alternating candy corn and fruit-only skewers. Point white ends toward center and yellow ends toward edge.
  8. Fill gaps with loose fruit pieces, extra candy corn, and mint leaves. Add candy pumpkins at the base of each skewer.
  9. Serve immediately or refrigerate loosely covered for up to 2 hours. Remove 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Soak wooden skewers for at least 10 minutes to prevent splintering. Pat fruit dry to avoid slippery skewers. Thread hardest fruit first (pineapple, melon) and softest last (banana, strawberry). Add candy corn skewers just before serving to prevent stickiness. For best results, assemble within an hour of serving.
