These ham and cheese croissant sliders are quick, easy, and absolutely delicious. Perfect for busy weeknights, game day, or any occasion, they feature buttery croissants filled with ham and Swiss cheese, topped with a savory Dijon and poppy seed glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large or 12 small croissants, sliced in half horizontally
  • 1 pound thinly sliced deli ham (honey ham, smoked ham, or black forest ham)
  • 810 slices Swiss cheese (about 8 ounces)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Using a serrated knife, carefully slice all the croissants in half horizontally. Lay the bottom halves in a 9×13-inch baking dish, cut side up.
  3. Evenly distribute the sliced ham over the bottom halves of the croissants, folding the ham slices in half for more volume.
  4. Place the Swiss cheese slices over the ham, ensuring each slider gets a good amount.
  5. Place the top halves of the croissants back on, cut side down.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  7. Using a pastry brush, generously brush the glaze over the tops of the croissants, including the edges.
  8. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for another 5-8 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and crispy.
  10. Let the sliders rest in the dish for 2-3 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, don’t skip covering with foil first to ensure the cheese melts evenly. Let sliders rest before serving to help them hold their shape. If croissants brown too fast, cover back with foil. For extra saucy sliders, double the glaze recipe.
