A quick and easy air fryer salmon recipe with a simple lemon butter sauce that’s perfect for picky eaters. Ready in under 15 minutes, this dish delivers moist, flavorful fish with crispy edges.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
  3. Season the salmon with salt, pepper, and paprika (if using) on both sides.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, and minced garlic. Set aside about 1 tablespoon for drizzling after cooking.
  5. Brush the remaining lemon butter mixture over the salmon fillets.
  6. Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, skin-side down, without touching.
  7. Cook for 8-10 minutes at 400°F (200°C), depending on thickness, until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Remove the salmon from the air fryer using tongs and let rest for 1-2 minutes.
  9. Drizzle the reserved lemon butter sauce over the cooked salmon and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
  10. Serve immediately.

Notes

Pat the salmon dry thoroughly to ensure crispy edges. Use an instant-read thermometer to avoid overcooking. For frozen salmon, add 3-4 minutes to the cooking time. Clean the air fryer basket immediately after use to prevent lingering fish smell.
