Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz Brie cheese
  • 4 oz Aged Gouda
  • 4 oz Blue cheese
  • 4 oz Prosciutto
  • 4 oz Genoa Salami
  • 4 oz Soppressata
  • 1/4 cup Fig Jam
  • 1/2 cup Red Grapes
  • 1/2 cup Dried Apricots
  • 1 small Apple or Pear
  • 1 cup Mixed Nuts
  • 1/2 cup Stuffed Olives
  • 1 small Baguette
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • Fresh Figs (optional)
  • Dark Chocolate (optional)
  • Cornichons (optional)
  • Fresh Rosemary Sprigs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Take the cheeses out of the fridge 30 minutes before serving.
  2. Prepare your board by placing small bowls or ramekins in a triangle pattern for fig jam, honey, and olives.
  3. Place the cheeses: cut brie into wedges and fan out, slice aged gouda into thin triangles and arrange in overlapping row, crumble blue cheese into a small pile near the center.
  4. Add the meats: fold prosciutto into loose ribbons, roll salami slices into cylinders, arrange soppressata in a fan pattern. Place meats near complementary cheeses.
  5. Fill in with fruits and spreads: tuck grapes in small clusters, place dried apricots in gaps, slice apple or pear just before serving and fan near blue cheese, drizzle honey over brie or blue cheese.
  6. Add crunchy elements: sprinkle mixed nuts in empty spaces, place baguette slices or crackers in neat stack or fan pattern, tuck stuffed olives near meat.
  7. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs and optional fresh figs. Serve immediately.

Notes

Let cheese come to room temperature for best flavor. Pre-slice hard cheeses and fold meats for easy grabbing. Balance flavors by mixing sweet and salty components. Don’t overcrowd the board; leave breathing room. Best enjoyed within an hour of assembly.
