Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz block cream cheese, softened
  • 4 oz sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 8 oz salami or pepperoni slices
  • 6 oz sharp white cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 6 oz gouda or smoked cheese, sliced
  • 1 cup mixed olives (green and black, pitted)
  • 1/2 cup pickled vegetables or cornichons
  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 1/2 cup gummy worms or spiders
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate-covered pretzels
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries or cherries
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs
  • 1 box assorted crackers
  • 1 baguette, sliced and lightly toasted
  • Fresh grapes or apple slices
  • Edible eyeballs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the candy corn cheese: Soften cream cheese. Mix with shredded cheddar, powdered sugar, and a pinch of salt. Divide into three equal parts. Leave one part plain (white layer). To the second part, add turmeric for yellow layer. To the third part, add smoked paprika for orange layer. On plastic wrap, spread orange mixture into a 4×6 inch rectangle, 1/2 inch thick. Top with yellow mixture, slightly narrower. Top with white mixture, even narrower. Wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least 30 min…
  2. Prepare board components: Slice baguette into thin rounds and toast at 350°F for 5 minutes. Cube white cheddar and slice gouda. Arrange salami slices. Fill small bowls with olives, pickles, and gummy worms.
  3. Assemble the board: Place small bowls on board. Unwrap candy corn cheese log and place in center. Slice into 1/2-inch rounds and arrange. Add cubed cheddar and sliced gouda. Add salami folds. Fill gaps with baguette slices, crackers, grapes, and dried cranberries. Sprinkle candy corn and chocolate pretzels. Tuck rosemary sprigs. Add edible eyeballs if using.

Notes

Make candy corn cheese up to 2 days in advance. Chill everything before assembling for best results. For gluten-free, use rice crackers or gluten-free pretzels. For nut-free, skip pecans and use sunflower seeds.
